Hoenir
Also Honir. Apart from a a terrible inability to make up his mind, his other
prominent characteristic was said to be his long-leggedness.
Sent to live among the Vanir as a token of peace between the warring gods. He soon proved to be a grave disappointment to the
Vanir because he always relied on Mimir to make decisions for him.
Because they were annoyed with this behavior, the Vanir cut off Mimir's head and sent it back to the
Aesir.
In some versions, Hoenir gave sense to the
first humans. He may have been Vili, a brother
of Odin who helped create the world.
