Stellerex's Arcane Anarchy

Stellerex and Vermithrax's freshman effort as autocrats turned out to be quite a success despite the very damp weather. Everyone was dismayed when the day dawned accompanied by the sounds of torrential rain and thunder. Luckily, the downpour slowed and stopped by mid morning, and the event went forward!

A ranking tourney was the first competition of the day. Thor took first place, with Fafnir and Frey in second and third place. Next was the Dragon's Egg Race, which was won by Marius.

The field battle saw the first trial of magic weaponry. Magic users were allowed to cast spell bags at their opponants for damage. Despite a few technical glitches, it went off very well and the fighters were pleased with the results. Team Stellerex squared off against Team Hagen in 2 rounds, with both sides each scoring a victory.

After the smoke cleared, a Ragnarok battle was held. Many warriors fought bravely, but in the end, there could be only one victor. He had four fighters on their knees, and so the victory was granted to Thor. Throughout all the field fighting, Alberich acted as the Marshall, with Queen Rossweisse and her Valkyries.

Closing court was a riot, truly living up to the moniker "anarchy"! Stellerex ran the day's wrap up and awards presentation like a stand-up routine. Discipline went out the window as the kingdom tossed remarks, insults and jests at and about each other. Stellerex bestowed a magic scepter unto Thor for his fighting prowess.

In other business: Saga presented her High Priestess Lady Urda with a favor... Fafnir took two apprentices, Brunnhilde and Alberich, to the art of armor and weapons forging... Alberich announced that the Dragon Lord Nidhogg had agreed to be his Mount.... Odin revealed Vermithrax's true Dragon heritage... and general announcements were made.

After court, the kingdom packed up and headed out to Southhaven Park for camping, feasting and merriment. This author went home instead, so you will have to look elsewhere for an account of the night's activities!
