Yule Revel 2000

        Tangs Feast Hall, December 16

        The Kingdom of Uberheim met at Tang's feast hall in Islip after a long day of martial competition at Heckscher State Park. There was much rejoicing and general merriment over the plentiful feast. Those in attendance were entertained by participation in a grab bag, slave auction, and Bragi's UberJeopardy game.

        The grab bag was very successful and many fine gifts were given and received. The slave auction raised a record amount of money for the kingdom coffers. Among the items auctioned off were a fine cloak made by ArchDuchess Skuld, Rossweise's embroidery skills, a staff made by Alberich, and an island in the Rhine. Bones was the most generous of all the bidders, spending almost a thousand dollars on his various purchases (including the island!)

        The Uberjeopardy game went very well. The competitors were Team 1: Saga, Verthandi, Fasolt, Team 2: Syn, Rudiger, Vermithrax, and Team 3: Rachel, Rossweisse, Priestess Urda. Bragi's cunning questions were drawn from such diverse topics as "Monty Python and the Holy Grail", to Kings and Queens, to Medieval Saints. The competitors were well-matched and the game remained an exciting toss-up to the final round. Team 1 secured the victory.

        After jeopardy, Grand Court was held, in which His Majesty awarded AOA's to all those who had performed great service to the realm in the last six months. Some of those who received awards were Sir Thor, the Goddess Syn, and Master Odin.
